Ice fishing outing to St. Vrain State Park set for Monday, Jan. 9

We'll be heading out about 9:30 a.m. from the northwest corner of Sam's parking lot on U.S. 34.  There's an admission fee to the state park, so you may want to carpool.  We'll probably start at Sandpiper Pond, one of the first after you enter the park.  It's located just east of the I-25 and Colorado 119 junction; the entrance to the park is about a mile west of I-25.

Not sure how the fishing will be, but the ponds are pretty heavily stocked and they're easily accessible.  You can park quite close to the ponds.  Questions? Call me at 970-988-9174.

Carpooling to Denver Sportsmen's Expo Thursday, Jan. 12

Anyone interested in traveling together to the Expo should meet at the northwest corner of Sam's Thursday.  We'll leave together no later than 10:30 a.m., probably returning by 4 or so.

Admission is $15 but we've got some $3 discount coupons; parking at the convention center is $12.
