Brad Nelson, adaptive needs physical education teacher at Conrad Middle School, needs volunteers to help Big Thompson School District kids for a day of fishing 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 3.
The event will be held at two private Redi-Mix concrete ponds on the east side of Namaqua Road just north of 1st Street.
About 60 middle school kids from across the district are expected, and we'll be doing whatever's needed to see that they have a good time. Questions? Contact Fred Riehm by e-mail or at breakfast Friday.
The club is open to all, but club events take place during the week and we meet at Chilson Senior Center in Loveland, CO. Our basic purpose is to fish, but we're easily distracted by the chance to work with youngsters or improve northern Colorado outdoor resources.
