Robert "Bob" Kuhn, long-time club member and a veteran of World War II, died Saturday at age 91.
Memorial services are planned for 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at Vessey Funeral Service, 2649 East Mulberry, Fort Collins.
Bob was born on February 17th, 1926 on the family farm to Eugene and Harriet Kuhn of Wangum Falls, Pa. He was the youngest of three children. He had a brother Denton Kuhn and a sister Jane Smith, both from Hawley, Pa.
After graduating high school he was enlisted in the Army Infantry division. Stationed in Germany after the war he met Yolanda, his first wife and mother of his son. They married in August of 1947 and remained married for 57 years until the death of his wife Yolanda, in 2004. He resided outside of Philadelphia with his wife for many years. He attended night school to obtain his teaching degree where he became an industrial arts teacher. He taught industrial arts for 22 years until retirement upon which they moved to Washington State.
In 2004, he and his wife moved to Loveland. After the passing of his wife Yolanda he met Alice Saldeen and was wed in 2005. After divorcing Alice he lived by himself until 2016 when he was placed into assisted living. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, outdoor activities and playing cards. He was a Boy Scout master for several years in Pa. and belonged to the Loveland Fishing Club.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law who reside in Fleming, Co. and three grandchildren and one great grandson, all of Colorado. Please leave the family a condolence at http://www.VesseyFuneralService.com
