Dave goes from first place to downright annoying

Dave Boyle caught a true "Colorado Master Angler Award" candidate Sunday, a 17 1/4" smallmouth at Horsetooth Reservoir that locks down both first and second place for Dave in the club's "biggest fish of the year" contest.

His catch is a 1/4" more than needed for the "Colorado Master Angler Award" for the species.
The fish at over 101% of the MAA put Dave in the first and second place position in the Loveland Fishing Club Angler of the Year contest; he caught a 16 5/8" Smallmouth at Horsetooth on May 26.

Slipping to third place is Jim Roode with a 25" Walleye at over 96% of the MAA.

It will be interesting to see how many MAA winners there are in the club this year, Jim notes.  It'll also be interesting to see how many of us concentrate more on fishing Horsetooth...
